At Meeple of Basingstoke, we provide a dedicated environment for enthusiasts to play modern hobby board games. Our goal is to be open, friendly, and inclusive, offering a space for discovering new games, connecting with fellow gamers, and enjoying the hobby you love.
Age Restrictions:
While we believe that tabletop gaming is for everyone, we are not set up for the safeguarding of minors (we’re just too small an organisation at the moment). As a result, our events are open to all adults, while under-eighteens must be accompanied by a responsible adult, and under-sixteens may attend only by prior agreement with the organizers.
Code of Conduct:
Meeple of Basingstoke is an open and inclusive group that believes in civil liberties for everyone. Anyone actively working against these goals is not welcome at our events, or in our group. Failure to comply with the Code of Conduct may lead to you being required to leave the event and may lead to your being banned from the group and from future events.
1. Respect the People: Discrimination has no place at the boardgaming table, or in our Group. Bullying, harassment, discrimination, and prejudice will not be tolerated.
2. Respect the Games: Gamers are often collectors, which makes us that weird sort of person that gets a little "twitchy" about "our stuff". Please treat our games with the utmost respect, because they may have high monetary or sentimental value.
3. Respect the Venue: we have a zero-tolerance policy toward deliberate damage to the venue or its facilities. At public events, the kitchen is no admittance, except for the organisers. If you experience any difficulties with the facilities, please bring it to the immediate attention of the Organisers.
